GCI partnered with the International Secretariat for Water and the Maghreb-Machrek Alliance for Water to launch a series of consultations and a worldwide citizens’ campaign to lobby for the adoption of an international framework convention on water. It was accompanied by a successful petition, signed by citizens in many countries, which urged their government to recognize and implement the right to water.
