Sustainability Goals

For 17 years, Mary’s Gone Crackers has remained committed to their goal of using exceptionally clean ingredients to manufacture sustainable products. Continuously holding themselves to the highest standard, Mary’s Gone Crackers is always certified organic, gluten-free, vegan, and non-GMO. Through their partnerships with the California Ricelands Waterbird Foundation and the Palm Done Right movement (more below), Mary’s supports global conservation efforts so consumers can feel good about the snacks they are eating.

Sustainability Achievements

To achieve their long-standing goals of manufacturing sustainably sourced crackers, Mary’s has partnered with the California Ricelands Waterbird Foundation to support conservation and sustainability efforts since 2004. Through their partnership, all of the brand’s rice is sourced exclusively from the California Rice Commission. Together, they have effectively transformed hundreds of thousands of acres of rice fields into seasonal wetland habitats for waterbirds to inhabit and supported millions of birds that migrate up and down the Pacific Flyway.

Mary’s Gone Crackers also participates in the Palm Done Right movement to farm palm oil that preserves habitats and rain forests, empowers farmers, nurtures the environment, and builds communities. With Palm Done Right, Mary’s has increased awareness about the environmental and social benefits of palm grown organically with fair trade practices from farmers around the world. Palm Done Right is the highest standard for palm oil and goes above and beyond any other certification program.
