An important goal and focus for 2021 is to eliminate plastic from all U-Konserve packaging. Through their work with the Grove Plastic Working Group, U-Konserve is finding creative solutions to packaging that complement their reusable products. U-Konserve is also continuing to develop products that help reduce our dependence on single-use plastic, and will continue to focus on using less plastic in product design.
As a mission-driven brand, U-Konserve wanted to grow something that benefited their communities and the planet, not just their bottom line. So in 2015 they joined Patagonia, Seventh Generation and hundreds of other brands and became a certified B Corporation. Since then, as they build on their impact with the help of their B Corp commitment, they have improved charitable giving, product sourcing, packaging, employee benefits, and much more.
