This program engaged landowners owning 180,000 acres of coastal wetland. It encouraged coastal restoration, with a focus on blue carbon, the CO2 sequestered in wetland soils and vegetation. Global Green collaborated with scientists from Louisiana State University to determine the feasibility of blue carbon projects by monitoring black mangroves in Port Fourchon, LA.
