Global Green identifies and promotes effective waste diversion technologies and programs through conducting pilots and related research. Our goal is to re-direct commonly wasted mate- rials from going to landfills and transform them into assets – saving millions of tons of green- house gases.
Food Donations to NYC Soup Kitchens Assisted by Mobile Technology Logisitics
Launched the Limo for Leftovers food donation program with our partner Food Cowboy at the North American Effie Awards.
“Global Green and their food donation partner Food Cowboy were superb in that they made it easy for us to live up to our ideals, so it would be great to see this being the first act in a much longer and more successful play.”

Resource Recovery for Farms and Food Systems
“We are thrilled that this recyclable packaging is performing so well. This switchover means that our customers will be receiving 75,000 recyclable cabbage boxes that they can bale and sell with the regular corrugated cardboard, which will save them thousands of dollars. We are glad that Global Green initiated this project, which is a key step toward help- ing all our customers reduce waste and save money.”
– Calvert Cullen, Northampton Growers
After five years of work by Global Green and our partners in New York City, our pilot and research programs have helped support the implementa- tion of the city’s food waste diversion mandate for large businesses in New York City – set to go into effect in 2016.
In 2015, Global Green convened regional gov- ernment agencies to discuss strategies for build- ing new food waste processing infrastructure and support compost markets and published a resulting report that was shared with City and State agencies and featured in GreenBiz and Wall Street Journal.
Pursuing a Legacy Systemic Impact for the Reduction of Greenhouse Gases from Food Waste and Packaging
In 2015, Global Green hosted an event for the City of Los Angeles to support recycling and composting portions of its new sustainability plan.
“When the City of LA achieves its zero waste goals, everybody should thank Global Green. Their LA Zero Waste Forum brought together all the right people and ensured that the city of LA was plugged into the leading expertise on waste diversion.”
