Update on the latest CTR legislation. February 2007 -- Global Green USA and partners provide policymakers the 2007 National Security Briefing Book. The briefing book provides essential information on major national security issues that will require congressional oversight and action in 2007. December, 2006 -- Global Green USA participated in the Eleventh Session of the Conference of the States Parties of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, The Hague, The Netherlands, 5-8 December 2006. December 2006 -- Canada recognizes the efforts of Green Cross/Global Green work to provide information about CW destruction and to facilitate dialogue among Russian citizens, through its Public Outreach Offices, in its latest 2006 "Global Partnership Program: Making a Difference" report. June 5, 2006 -- Global Green USA in collaboration with Green Cross Russia, Green Cross Switzerland and Russia's Department of Energy (Rosatom) announce the first Nuclear National Dialogue to take place in Moscow, 3-4 July 2006. May 14, 2006 -- Legacy Program Director Paul Walker makes a presentation, "Update on Chemical Weapons Destruction Globally," before the Pugwash Study Group on the Implementation of the Chemical and Biological Weapons Conventions in Noordwijk an Zee, The Netherlands. May 2, 2006 -- Paul Walker is featured on the Global Security Newswire discussing critical security needs for Russian chemical weapons stockpiles and the possibility for congressional action.
