Saturday, April 6 (Washington, D.C.) – Today, Green Cross International and Global Green USA applauded the United Nations General Assembly's endorsement of the new Arms Trade Treaty, which will for the first time establish common international standards that must be met before states authorize transfers of conventional weapons or export ammunition and weapons parts and components. January 2, 2013 (Santa Monica, CA) — The 2nd "Global Green USA Green School Makeover Competition" presented by Pureology launched today, giving K-12 schools across America the chance to enter to win a green makeover, as well as prizes towards sustainability upgrades for runner-ups. Support for the competition was also provided by Office Depot. The competition will be open from January 1–March 31, and winners will be announced in June 2013.
