Walker Wells and Hagu Solomon from our Green Urbanism Program (GUP) are in Philadelphia this week for a site assessment as part of our work on the EPA’s Building Blocks for Sustainable Communities program. They’re meeting with the South of South Neighborhood Association and multiple city departments to discuss how to further the City’s sustainability agenda, and visiting the University Hospital district and the site for the upcoming Carpenter Square project. Our task: helping Philly city officials identify how to use LEED-ND to augment their new zoning code and the support the Citywide Green Works Plan.
